Ross Crawford

Professor Ross Crawford is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in lower limb joint replacement; his principal interests are hip and knee replacement, and knee arthroscopy. Professor Crawford is an internationally recognized expert in the field of hip and knee replacement surgery. He performs approximately 150 hip and 150 knee replacements per year, both in public and private practice. He lectures and teaches surgical techniques, both nationally and internationally. As well as running a clinical practice Professor Ross Crawford is the Chair of Orthopaedic Research and the Professor of Medical and health robotics at QUT. He is an associate investigator in the Australian centre for robotic vision. In this role he supervises PhD students, post-doctoral researchers and collaborates closely with experts in the field of robotics, and mechatronics, mechanical and tissue engineering. He has published over 250 peer reviewed articles including work on health economics and big data.
