S. Jade Barclay
Jade Barclay believes in collaboration between patients, researchers,
clinicians, and policymakers. With a background in data analytics, trauma
therapy and public health, Jade is currently completing a PhD in Medicine at the
University of Sydney, researching management priorities for adults with complex
multimorbidity, hypermobility, and chronic pain (including Hypermobile
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome). Jade champions neurodiversity and disability diversity
in leadership, and community-informed approaches in healthcare, education and
STEM. Drawing from a unique combination of academic, clinical, and lived
experience, Jade has taught professionals in technology, allied health, social
work, psychiatry, marketing and martial arts at institutions including The
Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, The University of Sydney, UNSW, Open Family
Australia, and The NSW Mental Health Commission, and has served as Youth-at-Risk
Liaison and Accessibility Ambassador.
