Tuan V Nguyen
Dr Tuan Van Nguyen AM is Director of the Centre for Health Technologies, University of Technology Sydney (UTS) where he also holds the position of Distinguished Professor. Dr. Nguyen has been involved in osteoporosis for 30 years, and during that time, he has made significant contributions to the genetics of osteoporosis, fracture risk assessment, and epidemiology of fractures. He and his group developed the Garvan Fracture Risk Calculator fand more recently BONEcheck tool or personalised fracture risk assessment. He has published more than 350 peer-reviewed papers that have attracted more than 38,000 citations. He has been elected as a Fellow of the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, Royal Society of New South Wales, and Australian Academy of Health and Medical Scences.
